Puppet Show

Puppet Show

Kids, by nature, are curious and jumpy most of the time. So, a puppet show takes care of both these attributes.
Puppets are effective means of grabbing the kids’ attention. They can learn important life lessons while being entertained and away from screen too.

So, a puppet themed party is a huge hit amongst toddlers and preschoolers. Even the older kids will love the show, but then you must make elaborate preperation to awe them.

Decoration
We used Peppa pig theme. So, we used everything pink and red available. Turn a table, put a colored bedsheet on it and Voila.. a puppet theatre is ready.
You may want to use Mickey mouse clubhouse or Masha and the Bear.
My 9 year old used to tell such good stories with make believe puppets, when he was 5. Now he feels he has grown up.

You may also hire professional puppeteers if you have a big gathering.

Also, some of the games you can play are
1. Bring your puppet friend along.
Kids may bring one puppet each, when they come and introduce these puppets after the show. This is fun and interactive so every child feels belonged.

2. DiY puppet. With some basic material, kids can make their own puppet and get to take it home also. You can experiment between sock puppet, finger puppet or hand puppet.

3. Based on the theme you are using, you can play other games too like Click here for Peppa Games or Jungle Safari

Food should include finger food mainly like potato wedges, mini pizzas or fruit sticks. As the kids are young, this gives them less chance to spoil their dress.

Return gifts may include a hand puppet play book or some finger puppets or just the puppet they made during the DIY activity. A stuff toy will also do the trick.

Although we go for vacation once a year, the whole work and family life give us very little time to be together. And even if we do get an hour or so, most of the time we are on our devices.
