I have already penned down some ways to celebrate anniversary or birthday with your spouse at home.
But, there are a few more which you can enjoy at home or even outside with friends, albeit following all the protocols of social distancing.
1. Drive in Movie Theatre
Drive – ins are designed in such a way to follow social distancing. Go for a movie night. There are some in Delhi NCR and my recommendation goes to Gurgaon Talkies.
2. Deliver a Dessert
Send a friend or schedule a delivery of birthday girl’s or boy’s favourite donuts or cake, at their doorstep. Make it a surprise!!
3. Plan a parade
Drive by the birthday girl’s or boy’s home with a banner on top.. Happy Birthday!!! Or if its not a residential area, you might want to play birthday song on the car radio. Rope in more friends to drive by in their respective cars and make it a procession.
4. Gift a radio show to him/her
This might be expensive but will be worth the smile on birthday boy or girl’s face. There are websites which would gift a mini radio show for your loved one.
5. Virtual Game Night
How about some games virtually? Not exciting enough? Then what about a Murder Mystery Party? Or a Virtual Escape Room? Log in to your video conferencing platform and have fun.

6. Garden letters birthday sign
This is such an excitement generator. Imagine opening your window and seeing your name written on the lawn. Need I say more?
7. Virtual Karaoke Party
Although I could cover it under game night but this one was worth a seperate subheading. Invite friends on meet or zoom. Then create a room on Watch2gether or some similar app. Everyone should message their song request beforehand to the host, who is responsible for creating the playlist. Then let some drinks, good food and your singing do the magic.
8. Astrology
There are some good astrologers available who may join your virtual party for a nominal amount. Or maybe one of your friends has some interest in this and would like to perform this fun activity. There are some online softwares too which tell your future with your birthdate and time. Just for fun!!
9. Netflix movie night
Stream a movie and watch it together with friends in the comfort of their homes. Click here to know more about this.
